Facing Fall Skincare: It’s Time For Extra Moisture & I Hate The Word Moist, But Clearly It Was Necessary Here
The seasons are changing and so is your skin. As we approach the end of Daylight Savings Time aka my least favorite day of the year, I find my face needs some extra moisture and TLC. This is annoying because I feel like I just figured out the perfect skincare routine for summer and now I have to switch it up again. Luckily, I’ve been able to find a few gems. Here are some of my favorite fall skincare products.
LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask
Fall murders my lips. Seriously, even in LA it feels like all the moisture goes and takes a vacay the second it becomes September. Luckily, I have a solution. Every night before bed I apply LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask. No, it’s not Ambien for your lips but it’s more like lip balm on steroids. It smells like strawberry and feels like butter. And yes, you can apply it during the day as well.
SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Serum
I know what you did last summer. You skipped out on sunscreen. I’m not judging you, but let’s be real here. You need to fix this, which is exactly what SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic Serum does. Formulated with vitamins C and E, it reverses photodamage (aka sun damage) and the signs of aging. Don’t you hate those signs? I prefer signs for Starbucks and luxury spas. Seriously, it’s the perfect day serum for every skin type.
SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier
There’s nothing funny about SkinCeuticals H.A. Intensifier because H.A. actually stands for Hyaluronic Acid, which is this thing that makes your skin look plump and firm aka not old. I apply it after the C E Ferulic as well as at night. If you need to add moisture without oil, H.A. is your new best friend.
Erno Laszlo Antioxidant Complex For Eyes
Whether it is allergies, lack of sleep or too much rose, most of us need some extra help in the eye department. Erno Laszlo Antioxidant Complex For Eyes is like having a personal assistant for your under eyes. It does EVERYTHING! It’s tightening, refreshing, moisturizing and nourishing. It’s also one of those products that feels really good when you apply it. I put my bottle in the fridge before I shower in the morning and by the time I’m ready to apply, it has extra cooling power. By the way, this trick works for every eye cream or gel.
Erno Lazlo Sensitive Cleansing Oil
You know when you wash your face and then you use some toner or micellar water on a cotton pad and then you realize you still have makeup on your face and you wonder WTF was the point of just washing your face? Then you will be obsessed with Erno Laszlo Sensitive Cleansing Oil. It takes off all of your makeup (so squeaky clean) without being irritating. It’s also paraben free and won’t clog your pores. I put two pumps in my hands and then apply it to a dry face, add some water and remove everything with a hot washcloth. It feels like getting a facial without having to tip anyone or drive somewhere.
LANEIGE Time Freeze Sleeping Mask
Sleeping masks are a K-Beauty thing, but don’t be afraid to integrate them into any beauty routine. Think of it as a final step before you start looking really pretty. If you have never used a sleeping mask before, LANEIGE Time Freeze Sleeping Mask kind of feels like applying custard to your face. It’s not exactly a mask but more like the thickest moisturizer ever. If you like the idea of a sleeping mask, but the word custard has almost made you click off the page, LANEIGE Water Sleeping Mask has a thinner consistency and is less expensive.
